About Me

Who Am I?
I am a musician based
in Austin, captivated by the way music informs emotion on the screen. For as long as I can remember, I've used music to communicate emotions that I can't put into words. I started playing piano at age four, initally learning classical and expanded into the genres of blues, jazz and orchestral music.
Breaking rules and expectations is really what motivates me as a composer. I like to fuse out-of-the-box thinking with traditional musical techniques. Writing this way has helped me understand deeper emotions and allowed me to move audiences in ways I didn't think were possible. Arranging and writing music allows me to tell people exactly how I feel, and capture moments in life.
One of my favorite films, Interstellar, does this well. It combines simple melodies with creative instrumental sounds to evoke feelings of adventure, hope, grief, and love. After experiencing this film, that's when I knew I wanted to dedicate my career to writing music for the screen. With this passion, I went on to pursue a music composition degree at the University of North Texas which broadened my scope of music and its capacity to tell a story. I had the opportunity to work with many different artists from several universities to create immersive music and media projects. These experiences have driven me to continue pursuing film composing, allowing me the opportunity to continue working with filmmakers in the Austin area.
My Music Journey
I love collaboratiing with filmmakers to help bring their creative visions to life. I also have plans to expand my creativity through work on animated projects and stories. I hope to publish stories and create a series of animated shorts that reflect my sense of adventure and self discovery. I want my stories and music to express the challenges in my life and help people who may be experiencing similar challenges feel connected and seen.
